Toxin Sampling Results

The table shows where GCHD or CSCUM have recently been sampled and the results. Samples are taken at public access points where people are most likely to come into contact with the water, such as swimming beaches and boat launches.

Moses Lake Irrigation and Rehabilitation District (MLIRD) also samples Moses Lake at Connelly Park located at the north end of the lake. Click here to see those results on their website.

When toxin levels are more than the recreational guidelines, people and pets may get sick. The recreational guidelines for cyanotoxins are:

• Microcystin = 8ug/L
• Anatoxin = 1 ug/L

Data Qualifiers:

• Less than MDL means a level of toxin below the method detection level for the test done
• Less than RDL means a level of toxin below the minimum lab reporting level
